Class Schedule Changes for Session 3...

Parents

Thank you for getting you son signed up for session 3 classes.  Due to the recent schedule changes of the RHS Fieldhouse, the MBA class times for session 3 will be changing, as well.

Class Schedule

Sundays

1 pm- 2 pm (Hitting-Grades 6th-8th/Middle School)

2 pm- 3 pm (Pitching/Defense- Grades 6th-8th/Middle School)

3 pm- 4 pm (Hitting-Elementary)

4 pm-5 pm (Pitching/Defense-Elementary)

Saturday

As of right now, we do not have enough players enrolled in the Saturday classes.  Therefore, there will be no classes offered for session 3.  If you are registered for a Saturday class, there is still room available on Sunday's but they are filling fast. Since there has been such a high demand for Sunday's, in this session, I divided elementary and middle school into two separate groups.

I apologize for the inconvenience of this schedule change, but have heard the request of most of those enrolled in session 2 and each mentioned that this time change will work. If there are any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call me.

New Class Enrollment and Online Payment Option

We've made some exciting updates to our website which include a new Class Store with online payment option, as well as, the ability to accept tax-exempt donations using a credit or debit card!

The Class Store resembles a traditional online shopping experience complete with a Shopping Cart and Checkout process.  You can pay online, or by check/cash on the first day of class.  After completing the Checkout process, you will receive an email notification that your order was received, followed by a confirmation email of successful enrollment in the class.

Online Donations are now fast and easy!  Go to the Donate page, and click the "Donate" button.  Select the amount and program fund you'd like to support.  You'll receive a confirmation email with tax-exempt information to keep for your records.

We hope you like these new features!

We are proud to begin our 6th year for the Mountaineer Baseball Academy (MBA).  If you have a son that is in the RHS feeder pattern and interested in playing competitive baseball, please come out and join us for our annual player evaluations/tryouts. If you are currently playing USSSA baseball on another team, and you are in the Mountie feeder pattern, I want to encourage you to come under our banner.  This will not only help prepare you for the upcoming season, but will also help us reach our goals for the RHS baseball program, too.

Tryouts for 2016 USSSA teams will be Saturday August 1. We will do elementary (3-5th) 8:30-10:30 and middle school (6-8) from 10:30-12:30 at the RHS Fieldhouse. All players trying out must come ready by having a glove, tennis shoes (no cleats), baseball pants (tucked in), hat, and a great attitude!! Please be on time and register prior to the start of tryouts at the registration table located at the southeast corner of the turf room.

Now Enrolling for Session 3 (November-December)...

Dear MBA Players and Parents

The MBA is now accepting membership applications and enrolling in session three of the fall MBA classes.  The classes are reserved for those in the RHS feeder pattern.  All those enrolling, in classes, must first fill out and pay the $40 annual membership fee (this covers facilities fees, equipment, facilities waver). This fee is good for the entire school year (August-June).

Once a member, each player will have access to take as many classes as they want for just $25 a class.  Why so low of a price?  There are a few reasons.  First, we want all players to have access to the best baseball instruction, no matter what their socio-economical background is. Next, the classes are designed to take more than once.  Each class will take into account of where each player is based on an individual player assessments and test.  So, no matter if your son is the most advanced hitter or just starting out, the classes will meet them where they are. This means they never stop learning and getting better. Last, there will be a variety of classes offered.  Therefore, the players may want to work on hitting one month and then pitching the next. This also allows each player to continue improving their baseball skills year around, while allowing them to participate in other sports and extra-curricular activities.

Go Mounties,

Darek Bunch

MBA President
